Spicy Grilled Shrimp

We spent the long weekend celebrating the 4th of July and a friends wedding in Southern Orgeon. It was a weekend full of good eating and relaxing by a stream fed pool. For one of the meals we made shrimp kabobs seasoned with the Wet Wizard Pear Habanero sauce. They were so good. I was disappointed when I went back for seconds and there weren’t any left! I thought I had bought plenty of shrimp to feed 30 people - I literally bought all of the shrimp from the New Seasons seafood counter - but I was wrong. Lesson learned, it never hurts to have extra shrimp.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled

  • 1/4 c. olive oil

  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 lemon

  • 2 tbsps+ Wet Wizard Pear Habanero

  • 1 bunch parsley, roughly chopped

  • salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Put shrimp in bowl with the olive oil, minced garlic, juice of half a lemon, and 1 tbsp Pear Habanero sauce (more if you like extra spice).

  2. Let the shrimp marinate, stirring/tossing occasionally, for 1-2 hours.

  3. Put shrimp on skewers if you plan to grill them

  4. Season lightly with salt and pepper

  5. Grill for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink

  6. Once cooked, toss shrimp with juice of other lemon half, parsley and 1 tbsp more Pear Habanero sauce.

Enjoy!
